Though I could not be physically present at the recent peace rally in Washington, D.C., I fully support it and every peace rally.

Avoid bloodshed!

Please be reminded of these words from former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, who recently said to the world at his Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo, Norway: “”Global challenges must be met by an emphasis on peace, …with strong alliances and international consensus.””

I urge the president and leaders of today to listen to President’s Carter’s advice and urge respect for the United Nations as an international forum for solving disputes.

If only we had a president like Jimmy Carter again!

If today’s leaders haven’t learned from the past — how war only breeds more war — then where is their intelligence?

“”We will not learn to live together in peace by killing each other’s children,”” Carter said.

There’s something terribly wrong with a government that uses war as a tool of policy.

Yes, terrorism is a horrid thing. And we are all angry. But today’s president’s obsession with jumping into a war that could have catastrophic consequences is even more horrid!

Let’s use an intelligent treatment plan, one of defensive strategy rather than offensive.

War will ricochet back and kill us. It’s a blind form of self-inflicted terrorism!

I love my country but I’m terrified by the hands we are in.

We must do all that we can to prevent this fatal mistake and do it now.
