To whom it may concern, and I hope this concerns everyone in SAD 39.

I think it is pretty bad when all the children have to go to school in the district and eat lunch off Styrofoam trays.

The district said that we are saving money since we aren’t washing all the trays anymore.

I thought we were trying to save our environment for our children and their children. If we are throwing all this Styrofoam into the landfill, and everyone knows that Styrofoam does not break down, how is this helping our children?

I remember seeing a project from school about saving the planet for future generations. What is this teaching them? I think it is a waste of the taxpayers’ money.

If there are about 700 children in our district, about 500-700 trays go into some landfill thanks to SAD 39 daily.
