FARMINGTON – A 130-piece band, conducted by Karen Beacham, is assembling for a concert to be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10, in Mount Blue High School gym. The musicians are members of the UMF Concert Band and the Mount Blue School Concert Band. The program includes a selection of marches, folk songs and big band favorites such as “The Star Spangled Banner,” “Ashokan Farewell,” “Lord of the Rings,” “Persuasion,” Duke Ellington in concert and more. The featured soloist is alto saxophonist Jason Frost of Farmington.

Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
