1919 – 2003

AUBURN – Bernice E. Harper, 83, a resident of 86 Skillings Corner Road died early Friday morning at Clover Health Care following a short illness.

She was born in Minot, July 1, 1919, the daughter of John and Ella (Hersey) Harper. She was a lifelong resident of the area and had worked in the local shoe industry until her retirement.

She was a caring person who loved children, wildlife, cooking, and traveling.

Survivors include one sister, Norrine E. Harper of Auburn; two nieces, Geraldine Callahan of Lewiston and Jupiter, FL., Beverly R. Preble of Auburn; one grandnephew, Frank Preble; two great-nieces, June Lidstone, and Nancy Preble; one great-grandnephew, Jacob Preble; four great-grandnieces, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Abigail Lidstone and Eliza Preble.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Eleanor Harper and Ola Rogers.
