1920 – 2003

LEWISTON – Theresa M. Currier, 82, of Lewiston, died Thursday, April 10, at Ouellette’s Adult Foster Home, with her family by her side.

Born in Amesbury, Mass., April 26, 1920, the daughter of Emile and Claudia Jutras Grenier, she was educated in Massachusetts and Maine schools.

Prior to her retirement in 1983, she was employed as a stitcher at Billing Shoe Co. She was a member of the Auburn Catholic community at St. Louis Parish and enjoyed playing beano, knitting slippers, beaded arts and crafts, making jigsaw puzzles and was an avid baseball fan.

Survivors include her daughter, Mona Morin and her husband, Roland of Lewiston; four granddaughters, Michelle Brown and her husband, Wayne of Auburn, Celeste Moody and her husband, Ronald of Lewiston, Catherine Bouchard and her husband, Scott of Lewiston and Marie Boissonneault and her husband, Keith of North Waterboro; three great-grandchildren, Adam and Sarah Moody and Noah Bouchard; four sisters, Severine Dickinson, Lillian Berube and Rita Hebert, all of Auburn and Edith Malo and her husband, Roland of Lewiston; a brother, Gerard Grenier and his wife, Rita of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Lily Marie Boissonneault on Aug. 29, 2002.
