1915 – 2003

LEWISTON – Dominique G. Laurendeau of 2 Caron St., died at the age of 88, on April 17, peacefully at home, surrounded by his wife and daughters.

Born in Lewiston, March 7, 1915, he was the son of Philippe and Amanda (Dulac) Laurendeau.

He served during World War II as staff sergeant and was a member of the American Legion Post 22.

He opened the Ritz Diner on Lisbon Street, where he met his wife, Therese Renaud. He also worked for 32 years at S.S. Kresge.

On July 2, 1949 he married Theresa R. Renaud. They were married for 53 years. He was a caring, loving husband and father who enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening and cooking with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Therese; his five daughters, Rachel Laurendeau of Los Angeles, Calif., Carmen Carrier and husband, Ronald of Sabattus, Joline Laurendeau of Lewiston, Joan Roberts and husband, Charlie of Sabattus and Pauline Laurendeau and Gail Biron of Gulfport, Fla.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Emille, Raymond, Albert and Bertrand; and two sisters, Juliette and Cecile.
