LEWISTON – Tim Berrigan scored a goal late in the fourth quarter to lift York to a 6-5 win over St. Dom’s in boys’ lacrosse action.
Adam Stone and Jon Wiatt tallied two goals each for York (1-1).
Patrick O’Connell led the Saints (0-2) with four goals, while Zack Tyburski added one. Nate Davis made 15 saves while earning the win, while Brendon Dyer turned away 20 shots for the Saints.

Mountain Valley 8, Georges Valley 5
THOMASTON – Korey Stairs smacked a solo home run and threw three innings of relief to lead Mountain Valley to a 8-5 win over Georges Valley in their MVC season opener.
The Falcons (1-0) led 4-0 after three innings and added four more in the sixth to put it away. Stairs was credited with the victory.
Jim Sturks came in for Georges Valley in the fifth inning and took the loss.
