LIVERMORE FALLS – Claudia Chretien, 83, a resident of Livermore Falls, died Friday morning, April 18, at her home surrounded by her family following a long illness.
She was born in Jay on Nov. 5, 1919, the daughter of Joseph and Florida Chouinard Grondin.
She was married to the late Frank Chretien. She worked for Livermore Falls Shoe Co. in Livermore Falls from 1961 to 1981.
She was an avid Beano player.
She is survived by her children, Robert and his wife Sharon of Portland, Gloria Beaulieu and her husband Brent of Livermore Falls, Leo and his wife Bonnie of Skowhegan; two brothers, Tony Grondin of Jay, and Bert Grondin of Long Beach, Calif.; a sister, Rose Lussier of Lewiston; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Janet Wasilauskis in 1972.
