1923 – 2003

LEWISTON – Claire A. Vaillancourt, 79, formerly of 123 Old Lisbon Road, died Tuesday morning, April 22, at St. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion, after a long illness.

Born in Lewiston, Sept. 20, 1923, the daughter of William and Clara Langelier Vaillancourt, she was educated in local schools.

Prior to her retirement, she worked at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center as a housekeeper for many years.

She was a member of Holy Cross Church and Cercle Ste Sacrement.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Laurent (Stella) Chouinard of Ste Foy, P.Q. and Miss Yvette Vaillancourt of Lewiston; one brother, Roland and his wife, Laurette Vaillancourt of Brunswick; her caretaker niece, Constance and her husband Robert Caron; also several other nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Miss Muriel Vaillancourt and Eliette Vaillancourt; and by two brothers William (Bill) and Ludovic Vaillancourt.
