1980 – 2003

LEWISTON – Billie-Jo Smith, 22, a resident of 97 Knox St., died unexpectedly Saturday at her residence.

She was born in Norway, Sept. 6, 1980, the daughter of Arnold Smith and Susan Micklon. She attended Lakes Region High School, and had moved to this area five years ago where for a short time had been employed at Burger King on Center St. in Auburn.

She loved music, computers, and was very artistic. She loved all children, and will be sorely missed by all that knew her. She was especially close to her three aunts, Tamara Walker of Bridgton, Pamela Belanger of Sumner, and Chantelle Withee of Auburn.

Survivors include her father, Arnold Smith of Oxford; her mother, Susan Hamel and her stepfather, William Hamel of Lewiston; her maternal grandmother, Rozan Truman of Mechanic Falls; two daughters, Sutapucha Tripp and Haley Tripp both of Lewiston; two brothers, Nicholaus Smith of Waterboro, and Cameron Horton of Bridgton; one sister, Valerie Jean Smith of Lewiston; seven cousins, Jason, Christy, Joshua, Derrick, Jacob, Cassandra, and Gabriel.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents; and maternal grandfather.
