1938 – 2003

SOUTH PARIS – Evelyn Louise Bean Mason, 65, of South Paris died Thursday, May 1, at her home.

She was born in Woodstock on March 27, 1938, the daughter of Herman and Blanche Urquhart Bean. She graduated from Woodstock High School. She had been employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Edwin Gibson and worked for 10 years at Ecco Wood Products in Locke Mills. She retired from NoPar Federal Credit Union in South Paris in 2000 where she had been a loan officer.

She married William E. Mason on May 3, 1959. She volunteered her time to the 4H Club in South Paris, the Cub Scouts in West Paris, the West Paris baseball farm team and the Sheep Club of South Paris. She was a director on the Oxford County Fair Associaton. She enjoyed gardening, camping and canoeing.

She is survived by her husband of South Paris; a daughter, Melissa K. Holden and her husband Dennis of Otisfield; a son, Christopher Mason and his companion Gayle Paine of South Paris; four grandchildren, Daniela Mason and Krystal Powers both of Otisfield, Matthew Mason and Mitchell Mason both of South Paris; a sister, Dorothy Heath of West Paris; two brothers, Robert Heath of Peru and Herbert Bean of Sumner; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother Robert Bean.
