WILTON – Wilton officials will hold two meetings this week, one to discuss the proposed school and municipal budgets with the town’s Finance Committee, the other will be the regular selectmen’s meeting.

The Finance Committee will hear a budget presentation from SAD 9 Superintendent Mike Cormier Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the town office. At 7 p.m. the committee will meet with selectmen to review the proposed municipal budget.

Tuesday’s Selectmen’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the town office.

Officials will decide whether they will include on this year’s annual town meeting warrant a proposal for a land swap and award the bid for the 2003 town report. They will consider appointments for the recreation Committee and Planning Board.

Selectmen will consider a 1 year cable franchise extension with Adelphia and sign liquor license renewals for Meadow Bowling Lanes and Wilson Lake Country Club. They plan to hear a quarterly report from Water and Sewer Department Superintendent Russ Mathers and award a contract for engineering layout and oversight assistance on the planned Temple Road project.

Officials will also hear the town manager’s report, discussing correspondence from the White House, gifts from the Wiltona Club, the Maine Department of Transportation’s response concerning the boat launch and stone wall repairs on Wilson Lake, the bulky waste contract with Jay, and DOT projects scheduled for 2004-05.
