1943 – 2003

CAPE ELIZABETH – Brent Alley, 59, died May 4, in Cape Elizabeth.

He was born to Frank P. Alley and Evelyn Sheridan on May 22, 1943, in Newport. He was a resident of Pineland Center for the Developmentally Disabled in Pownal, for 49 years.

In 1992, he moved to Portland where he received excellent care and support from Group Mainstream. He also attended the AHEAD program at the Cerebral Palsy Center, where he had many friends and enjoyed a wide variety of activities. He lived in Portland until poor health lead him to move, in 2001, to the Haven Health Center in Cape Elizabeth.

He was a charming and friendly man who loved to listen to music and joke with his support staff. He especially enjoyed going to the park and feeding the ducks. His staff and friends knew him as a person who was usually smiling and happy to be with them. The staff and participants of Group Mainstream and the Cerebral Palsy Center were like family to him. He will be missed by all that knew him.
