RUMFORD – A Bryant Pond man escaped serious injury early Saturday morning after his truck rolled over off South Rumford Road, police said.

Louis J. Sicotte, 47, was later summoned by officer Paul Casey on a charge of operating under the influence, said acting desk Sgt. David Bean.

According to Casey’s report, Sicotte was traveling west in a 1983 Ford pickup on the South Rumford Road at 1:15 a.m. when “he failed to slow down and negotiate a sharp left curve.

“The vehicle traveled over an embankment and rolled over, about two times, coming to rest on the driver’s side,” Casey said.

Sicotte’s totaled truck, which sustained $1,500 damage, was towed by Roland’s Automotive of Rumford.
