1956 – 2003

LEWISTON – Denis J. Rancourt, 47, of Sabattus passed on to the Lord’s home Monday afternoon, May 5, after a two-year battle with colon cancer.

Born in Lewiston, April 1, 1956, the son of Bernard and Jeannine (Robert) Rancourt, he was educated in Lewiston schools, graduating from Lewiston High School Class of 1975.

He attended St. Francis College and graduated from Mid-State College. He was co-owner of Rancourt Associates in Lewiston for the past 25 years.

He is a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus. He touched many peoples lives in the community. He enjoyed working and was a very caring and generous person who devoted his life to his two children. He also deeply cared for his family and friends. His hobbies were woodworking and found great pleasure in the outdoors, creating his own pond, landscaping and gardening at home. He also loved collecting antiques.

Survivors include his parents, Bernard and Jeannine Rancourt; a son, Brian, a daughter, Kayla, Denis’ companion with whom he made his home, Gail Mulkerin, a brother, Paul and his wife, Debra Rancourt, three sisters, Lise Rancourt and her companion, Richard Allman, Linda Letarte and Joline and her husband, Roger Cote, all of Sabattus; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and special nieces and nephews, Tammy Clifford, Tom Cote, Justin Cote, Jason Letarte and Jennifer Rancourt. He also leaves a special life-long friend, Pastor Jerry Begin. He will be sadly missed by all.
