Sam St. Hilaire srikes out 11 as Leavitt knocks off Messalonskee, 2-0.
TURNER – In a matchup of unbeaten KVAC teams, Laura Pratt led off the game with a double and Gretchen Conn drove her home with a line drive single to give Leavitt all the runs it would need in a 2-0 softball win over Messalonskee Saturday.
Annie Dyer drove Amy Myrand home with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning to complete the scoring for the Hornets (11-0).Sam St. Hilaire pitched a four-hit shutout and struck out 11 hitters to earn the win on the mound. Cindy Bouchard cracked a single and a double to lead Messalonskee’s offense.
St. Dom’s 2, Buckfield 0
AUBURN – Amanda Collette gave up four hits and Emily Goss scored one run and drove in another as St. Dom’s defeated Buckfield, 2-0.
Amanda Collette struck out seven, walked none and yielded just four hits to earn the shutout. Erica Dorso collected two hits for the Saints (5-3). Charlie Hayes and Mandy Roy each hit a double for the Bucks (5-2). Danielle Buswell took the loss despite giving up just four hits.
Baseball
Edward Little 11, Massabesic 0
AUBURN – Luke Robinson had three hits including a double and drove in four runs to lead Edward Little past Massabesic 11-0 .
Nick Lawler and Craig Cormier joined Robinson in the doubles column, and Kyle Smith added a triple for the Red Eddies (2-9).
Garrett Bissonette had a double for the Mustangs (2-9), who managed just two hits off starting pitcher Colby Gilbert.
St. Dom’s 9, Buckfield 5
AUBURN-Mike Carpenter went 3-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI to pace a 15 hit attack from St. Dom’s as they improved to 6-0 on the season with a 9-5 win over Buckfield .
Ian Pullen picked up the win for the Saints (6-0). Ryan Turgeon had three hits, while Jack Lavoie, Josh Dwinal, Jim Mayo and Tyler Turgeon added a pair of hits each. Steve Abbot took the loss for the Bucks (6-2).
Cheverus 10, Lewiston 7
LEWISTON-Chris Doughty drilled a single driving in the game-winning run in the top of the sixth inning to propell Cheverus to a 10-7 win over Lewiston .
The Blue Devils (0-11) were paced by Joe McGrath with a double.
Gould 13, Carrabasset 0
BETHEL – Quinn McAllister, who had reached on a hit batsman, later scored the game-winning run as Gould blanked Carrabasset Valley Academy 13-0 . The Huskies (9-3) ripped away at Carrabasset with 11 runs in the first inning.
Jason Mowery pitched the one-hit shutout, striking out eight without giving up a walk.
Karl Olson and TJ Savage cracked a home run apiece, while Kane Olson and Dan Tutor tallied doubles.
Boys’ lacrosse
Lewiston 12,
Lincoln Academy 5
DAMARISCOTTA-Adam Toutain scored five goals and assisted on two more to pace Lewiston to a 12-5 win over Lincoln Academy. The Blue Devils (6-1) also recieved goals from Tony Travaligni (3), Jon Fournier (2), Evan Cyr, and Bryan Shaw to register the win.
Billy Brooks made 11 saves in goal to record the victory.

South Portland 7
SOUTH PORTLAND-Tom Cook scored a hat trick to lead Mt. Blue to a 13-7 win over South Portland .
Buzzy Cyr, Sam Raines and Ben Sinclair each added a pair of goals in the win.
Freeman Scott only needed nine saves to register the win.
Morse 13, Oxford Hills 12
SOUTH PARIS – Jordan Buzzell piloted the game-winning goal to lift Morse to a 13-12 win over Oxford Hills.
The Vikings (2-7) delivered seven goals in the first half to take a 7-3 lead at the midpoint. But the Shipbuilders outscored the Vikings 6-1 in the third quarter. Cody Rathbone had an impressive 16 saves in goal for the Vikings.
