The Greyhounds maintain their perfect record

with a 5-1 win.

LISBON – Jarrod Church and Jason McKay each smacked two hits and John Tefft pitched seven innings of four-hit ball as Lisbon downed George’s Valley 5-1 in MVC baseball action Monday. Tefft finished with seven strikeouts and just two walks to earn the win for the Greyhounds (7-0).

Ryan Berube had a double and Brian Sturks had two hits for the Buccaneers (2-5).

Gray-New Gloucestor 6, Fryeburg 2

GRAY – Jesse Huff struck out nine batters and hit an RBI triple in the second inning to lead Gray-New Gloucestor to a 6-2 win over Fryeburg in Western Maine Conference baseball action Monday.

Jordan Yanni and Louie Bernerdini each doubled, while Josh Bartlett scored two runs for the Patriots (5-5) win. Shane Corcoran and Joe Berozowski each had two hits for the victory as well. The Fryeburg Raiders (3-7) were led by Trevor Vassi with two hits.

St. Dom’s 6, Traip 0

AUBURN – Jim Mayo and Brady Blackman combined to throw seven shutout innings and Josh Dwinal belted a two-run single in the first inning to give St. Dom’s all the runs it would need as the Saints downed Traip 6-0 in WMC baseball action Monday.

Ian Pullen made the play of the day in the field for the Saints (7-0) in the fifth inning when he went into a full-out dive to rob the Rangers of an extra-base hit. Andy White led Traip with a double while Shawn Durgin collected two singles for the Rangers.

Lacrosse

Messalonskee 17, Oxford Hills 3

OAKLAND – Mike Morneau scored four goals and recorded two assists to lead Massalonskee to a 17-3 win over Oxford Hills in boys lacrosse action Monday evening.

Luke McPartlin chipped in with three goals and four assists for the Eagles (6-2).

The Vikings (2-7) were led by Craig Laplante, Mike Vieira, and Thomas Kothe who each notched a goal a piece in the losing effort. Chris Webb made six saves for the win, while Justin Bradbury stopped 13 shots for the effort.

Lewiston 7, Deering 2

PORTLAND – Kirk Bolduc and Adam Toutain each netted three goals a piece to lead Lewiston toa 7-2 win over Deering in SMAA lacrosse Monday.

Tony Travaligini chipped in with a goal, while Jon Fournier, Ben Fournier, Evan Cyr, and Matt Dumais each added an assist for the Blue Devils (7-1) win.

Author Phillips and Kevin Broydick each scored a goal for the Deering (3-4) effort.

Billy Brooks made 17 saves in the net for the win, while Joe Scala stopped 15 shots for the Rams effort.
