AUBURN – Eleven area students recently graduated from certified nursing assistant training through Mid-State College Department of Continuing Education
Students successfully completing the program were: Laurie Courtemanche, Auburn; Beverly Coolidge, Dixfield; Helga Carapetyan, Freeport; Travis Leonard, Greene; Amber McLaughlin, Harrison; Shannon Poirier, Lewiston; Ai Justin Twitchell, Lewiston; William Navarro, Sumner; Peter Michaud, Waterville; Heather Smith, Whitefield; and Carol Reali, Windham.
Courses began in January at the Auburn and Augusta campuses. They completed 100 hours of classroom and lab time, and 50 hours of clinical time. Clinical rotations in Augusta were at the Veterans’ Administration at Togus and in Auburn at Clover Manor Nursing Home. After completing the course, students took the state exam for CNAs.
