LIVERMORE FALLS – Harvest on the Water District’s woodlot is going well, Superintendent Doug Burdo told the trustees Wednesday morning.

The equipment being used does a good job of protecting the land, he said, and the district may be able to harvest around Parkhurst Pond in East Jay next winter since the problem of access has been solved.

A reimbursement has been received from the insurance company on the hydrant on Park Street, which was taken out recently by a car.

Service connections on the Route 17 project are being done on top of the hill, and the next ones done will be by the cemetery, Burdo said. The Maine Department of Transportation is holding weekly meetings with the contractors, Pratt and Son of Minot, at the DOT facility in Dixfield to facilitate communication.
