WINTHROP – The YMCA Camp of Maine, on Lake Cobbosseecontee, Route 135, East Winthrop, will hold its annual open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17. Interested parents, campers and friends are invited for tours, refreshments and to meet the camp director and staff.

The camp is celebrating its 88th and offers a variety of programs for boys and girls ages 5 to 16, including summer resident camping, day camping, outdoor adventure trip programs and leadership training.

The open house will be held rain or shine, and no registration is required. Additional open house dates are from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8. For more information call 395-4200.

The camp has openings for its resident and day camp program. Registrations have been accepted since Feb. 1 and some sessions, programs and trips are filled and have a waiting list.

The season will run from June 29 to Aug. 23 with one- and two-week overnight sessions available for boys and girls ages 8 to 16. Special programs include the Leader-In-Training Program, Teen Adventure Camp, and Woods, Waters and Wheels Outdoor Adventure Trip programs.

The camp also offers a day camp program for local children ages 5 to 9 from June 23 to Aug. 15.
