WILTON – Officials will sign the warrants for the annual town meeting and the SAD 9 referendum when they meet Tuesday. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the town office.

The referendum will take place Tuesday, June 10, along with the local elections. Voting will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The annual town meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 16, at the Academy Hill School Gymnasium.

Town Manager Peter Nielsen said the net figures to be raised from taxation for SAD 9 total $1,846,363, an increase of $84,341 over last year. The amount to be raised for county taxes is $186,098, up $15,980 from last year. The total to be raised for the proposed municipal budget is $1,097,278, a decrease from last year of $3,572.

In other business, selectmen will hear a quarterly report from Police Chief James Parker and sign papers for recent appointments to the town’s Recreation Committee and Planning Board. They will also consider candidates for alternate members for the Planning Board.

Nielsen will inform selectmen about an invitation to a Community Concepts groundbreaking on June 25. Officials also plan to meet behind closed doors to discuss a possible land transaction.
