1913 – 2003
LEWISTON – Marie Bryant Cheney, 89, a resident of Main St., died Monday at her home.
She was born in Fort Fairfield, June 1, 1913, the daughter of Walter and Sadie Carroll Bryant.
She was educated in the schools of Lewiston having graduated from Jordan High School.
On Jan. 6, 1933 she married Eugene Cheney. He died March 5, 2001.
Mrs. Cheney was employed for many years by Raytheon Electronics of Bedford, Mass., as assistant librarian at their technical library in the Research and Development Department.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish and enjoyed the interest of animals, plants, bingo and cooking. Mrs. Cheney also enjoyed spending time in Florida, having wintered there for 16 years.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. Patricia Dexter and a niece, Mrs. Charles (Pamela) Hamel all of Hamden; and several other nieces and nephews.
