1922 – 2003

BRIDGTON – H. Louise Morse, 81, of North Waterford went to heaven on May 25, with her family by her side.

She was born in Stow, March 26, 1922, the daughter of Cory and Evelyn Emery Wales. When she was one year old, the family moved to Fryeburg Harbor where she grew up.

She was a hard worker, working in local shoe factories and other factories in the area. She worked for Western Maine Area Agency on Aging, a job she loved.

She ran Grammy’s Day Care, which was watching and spoiling her grandchildren.

She was a member of the Waterford Grange, North Waterford Church and Evergreen Rebekah Lodge.

She enjoyed camping, bowling, family get-togethers and stock car racing.

On Jan. 26, 1940, she married Irving “Dike” Morse, who passed away in April of 1992.

Survivors include two daughters, Martha Morse, and Ellen Bernier and her husband Lou, all of North Waterford; a brother, Rodney Wales and his wife Pat of Fryeburg; a sister, Lorraine Kneeland and her husband John of Rhodes Island; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sons, Kenneth and Hollis; two sisters, Elsie and Virginia; a grandson, Jeffrey; and a great-grandson, Jared.
