BUCKFIELD – Ryan Davis, 17, of Buckfield has been selected to join more than 1,000 secondary students from around the world for the International Summit of Youth Technology Leaders in Silicon Valley, Calif., from July 27 through Aug. 5.
Designed to introduce exceptional students to careers in the ever-changing industry of technology, the summit will also pioneer relationships between the students and the business and technology leaders of today.
The summit will also feature seminars led by technology professionals focusing on such topics as programming, gaming, Web design and virtual reality. Students will participate in roundtable discussions focused on issues affecting the technology industry and visit Silicon Valley’s business community and educational institutions.
Davis is a junior at Saint Dominic Regional High School in Auburn. He enjoys computer science, skiing, swimming and biking. He volunteers at a local homeless shelter. Davis is the son of Scott and Holly Davis of Buckfield.
