LEEDS – Leeds picked up a pair of wins in recent against the Turner Patriots in the 12-Under Division of the A-K Girls Softball League.
Leeds took the first game 16-13 as Kristy Buzzell collected 4 hit and Alexis White 3. Winning pitcher Katherine Rothie added 2 safeties, 1 a homer. Elizabeth Henry also pitched. Alicia Richards, Sarah Durgin and Megan Berube were repeat hitters for the Patriots. . . Leeds won the second game 17-3 as Rothie and Kristen Capen combined on a 4-hitter, striking out 8. Rothie and Henry both went 4-4, each swatting a homer. Taylor Damon added 3 hits.
Durgin collected 2 of Turner’s 4 hits.
