1917-2003

AUBURN – Norrine E. Harper, 86, a resident of 86 Skillings Corner Road, Auburn, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Clover Health Care, following a long illness.

Born in Minot, Jan. 4, 1917, she was the daughter of John and Ella (Hersey) Harper.

She was a member of the Mary Dillingham Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution, serving as historian and for several years headed many committees. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Lynn, as well as the I.O.O.F of Massachusetts, the Lynn Congregational Church and was an active member of the North Auburn Methodist Church.

Ms. Harper was employed 35 years at General Electric in Lynn, Mass., until her retirement in 1962.

Survivors include two nieces, Geraldine Callahan of Lewiston and Lake Jupiter, Fla. and Beverly R. Preble of Auburn; one grandnephew, Frank Preble; two great-nieces, Jane Lidstone and Nancy Preble; and four great grandnieces, Sarah, Elizabeth and Abigail Lidstone and Eliza Preble.
