In your editorial piece labeled “A fit of anger” you attempt to connect the arrest of Ed Miller, Tri-County Mental Health Services Inc. employee, with John Ashcroft and the Bush administration.

Your journalistic imagination and political opinions are not wild enough to make the connection. The distance between these dots is further than the many miles between Farmington, Maine, and Washington, D.C.

Why did you ruin a very legitimate piece about the State Police officer’s error in judgment and overreaction by attempting to connect this to the Bush administration?
