TOPSHAM (AP) – A Durham man was killed and two people were injured in a head-on crash Tuesday on the section of Route 196 known as the Coastal Connector.
Peter Perron, 38, was killed shortly before 8 a.m. when his sedan crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming van, police said.
The two occupants of the van, identified by police as Molly Carpenter, 39, of Brunswick, and an unidentified juvenile passenger, were transported to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick with what were described as minor injuries.
An accident reconstruction team from the Brunswick Police Department was assisting in the investigation.
