1923-2003

GORHAM, N.H. – Mrs. Helen E. (Sinibaldi) Gemmiti, age 79, of 278 Gorham Hill Road, passed away Wednesday morning, June 4, among her family at her residence. She was born at Berlin on December 24, 1923, the daughter of Pasquale and Antoinette DiProspero Sinibaldi.

A lifelong resident of Berlin and Gorham, Mrs. Gemmiti was a member of Holy Family Parish. A pillar of the church, Helen had served as an active volunteer, and was a member of the Holy Family Altar Guild. Prior to her retirement 1975, she had been employed as co-owner and operator of the Gorham Motor Inn for many years with her husband Mario. She was a graduate of Berlin High School class of 1941, and attended Wilfred’s Hairdressing Academy in Boston in 1946.

Her husband, Mario F. Gemmiti, died January 15, 1989.

She is survived by two brothers: Edward Sinibaldi of Berlin, and Oreste “Orry” Sinibaldi and wife, Peggy of Gorham; one sister, Sr. Mary Antoinette Sinibaldi, Sisters of Mercy, Windham; one aunt, Louise Poretta of Berlin. There are many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and acquaintances.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by four brothers: Ettere “Ted” Sinibaldi in 1984, Henry Sinibaldi in 1995, Joseph Sinibaldi in 1999 and Dr. Remo Sinibaldi in 2001.
