1911-2003

ELKHART, Ind. – Ella W. Beckler, 91, a longtime resident of Livermore, died Sunday, June 1, at the home of her daughter, Rowena Robinson, where she had lived for the past two years.

She was born in Livermore Aug. 10, 1911, the daughter of Alice Knox Merrill. Ella attended the schools of Livermore and graduated with honors from Livermore Falls High School. On Aug. 23, 1947, she married Charles Beckler in Seabrook, N.H. He passed away May 25, 1986. Ella worked as a seamstress and inspector at the Livermore Shoe Co. in Livermore Falls for over 25 years and was a member of the North Livermore Baptist Church in Livermore.

She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Rowena and Richard Robinson of Elkhart, Ind.; three grandchildren, Christopher C., Daniel R. and Sherry Robinson; a brother-in-law, Mort Beckler of Orrs Island; and three sisters-in-law, Nellie Harmon and Helen Beckler, both of Livermore, and Theresa Stevens of Turner.
