FARMINGTON – The Farmington Ski Club will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the Titcomb Mountain Ski Lodge. All are welcome to come early from 6:15 to 7 p.m. for an ice cream social. The meeting is open to the public and ski club members are especially welcome to come vote on the new slate of officers. The budget for the coming year will be discussed and voted on. A summary of this past season also will be presented.

Historical tours

WILTON – Wilton Day Extension will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Wilton Historical Building for a tour. The people will then have lunch at Family Fare Restaurant and continue on for a tour of the Farmington Historical Building.

Seniors picnic

WILTON – The Wilton Senior Citizens will meet Wednesday, June 11, at the Seniors Cabin at Kineowatha Park. The cabin will open at 11 a.m. with a business meeting at 12:30 p.m. Those attending are reminded to bring a picnic lunch, a beverage and a lawn chair. These meetings will be held weekly on Wednesdays, rain or shine, through the summer. The June 14 meeting was opened by President Beverly Childs with the Lord’s Prayer and flag salute. A memorial service was conducted by Emily Pike. “Amazing Grace” was sung by Ruth York. June birthdays were recognized. A video, “Over New England,” was shown and refreshments were provided by SeniorsPlus.

Dance classes

FARMINGTON – City Lights Studio North will offer its first Farmington summer program from June 20 to 30 at the studio in the former State Theater on Broadway. Daily dance classes will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Younger children should attend the morning classes. The classes are offered free. The program will cover a wide range of dance styles, stretches and exercises, including modern, hip-hop and martial arts. For more information, people can call 778-9441.
