LIVERMORE FALLS – Construction projects are moving along well, Superintendent Doug Burdo told Water District trustees Wednesday morning.
He hopes to have the Lavoie Street projects in Jay finished this week, he said, and then work would move on to Pineau Street.
A glitch was found in the Department of Transportation’s plans for Route 17, which would have had the newly installed main exposed.
However, the glitch was in the DOT plans, which will honor the original plan. That will leave the main with almost 5 feet of coverage, Burdo reported.
The wood harvest is now being done on the pond side of Route 17 and more is anticipated there once the ground freezes.
The district will receive $12,900 in federal funds for freeze-ups experienced during the winter.
Trustees agreed to purchase an extended warranty package on the new pickup truck.
