LIVERMORE – Charity Rebekah Lodge of Livermore Falls will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at the Ralph Wright Memorial Building, 284 Federal Road.

Refreshments will be served at 12:30 p.m., with Norma Lucarelli and Marge Pritsky as hostesses. For entertainment each member is being asked to bring a sealed brown bag containing one pound of anything to be auctioned off.

Pulp, paper heritage group

LIVERMORE FALLS – The next meeting of the Pulp and Paper Heritage Museum Committee takes place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Treat Memorial Library.

Blood drive planned in Phillips

PHILLIPS – Blood donors in the Phillips area will have the opportunity to participate in an American Red Cross blood drive from 2-6 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at the Phillips Community Middle School gym. Norlands’ Strawberry Festival is June 28

LIVERMORE – The Washburn-Norlands Living History Center will hold its annual Strawberry Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 28. The event gets its name from the strawberry shortcake made by Livermore Falls Baptist Church members.

Tours of the historic buildings and hay rides will be available, as well as craft demonstrations and sales, an antique farm equipment display, music, an Auburn Rescue Service demonstration and a family area featuring face painting and games.

Light lunches will be available at the grill from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission to the grounds will be $1 for anyone age 2 and older, and free for kids under 2. Tours, rides, games and food will be priced separately.

Audubon trip

EUSTIS – Western Maine Audubon Society will sponsor a day of birding and canoeing at Flagstaff Lake on Sunday, June 29. Participants will meet at 10 a.m. at the entrance to Cathedral Pines Campground on Route 27 and join bird enthusiast Wendy Howes for a guided birding and canoe trip. Participants must provide their own canoe and gear. It is suggested that participants also bring a lunch, as well as drinking water and adequate equipment for light walking and leisurely canoeing. The cost of the trip is $10 for Audubon members and $15 for non-members. The group size is limited to 15 people.
