LIVERMORE FALLS – Police charged two men after an altercation at a home off Route 17 Sunday night. One of the men ran off before he could be apprehended.
According to Lt. Thomas E. Gould, officer Heidi Gould went to the residence as part of an ongoing investigation to talk to one of the people at the home when people there became disorderly and tried to interfere.
Joseph Burnham, 60, was arrested and charged with obstructing government administration, disorderly conduct and refusing to submit to arrest, Gould said.
“A large altercation broke out and one person fled officers before he could be apprehended,” Gould said.
Six more officers were called in to help and conducted a search of the area, Gould said.
James Burnham, 34, was later summoned for charges of obstructing government administration and disorderly conduct, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.
