STANDISH – Saint Joseph’s College of Maine announces area graduates who have received special awards.

Sarah Ouellette of Jay received the Senior Athlete Award for outstanding senior female athlete selected by members of the Athletic Department.

Matthew Delamater of Oxford won two awards: the Finance Award presented to the finance student with the highest cumulative GPA and the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award presented to the business administration student with the highest level of academic achievement in his class.

Michael Coughlin of Richmond won the Sociology Award for excellence in the field of sociology.

Linda Russo of Topsham won the Evelyn O’Connor Award given to the elementary education senior graduating with the highest grade point average.

Christian Gurney of Lisbon was named class valedictorian and was one of two winners of the Physical Education Award for outstanding senior majoring in physical education.
