1911 – 2003

LEWISTON – Ida P. Poulin, 91, of 121 Rosedale St. died Monday, June 30, at Ouellette’s Boarding Home where she had been a resident for the past four years.

She was born in St. George de Beauce, P.Q., Canada, Sept. 15, 1911, a daughter of Joseph and Clara (Fluet) Poulin and was educated in Canadian schools. She was married to Odilon Poulin who died in 1974.

She worked at the Continental Mill for 23 years prior to her retirement. Mrs. Poulin was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality of Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church, Lewiston Senior Citizens and Unite Franco American.

She was a very pleasant and wonderful lady who always had a smile on her face. She will be sadly missed by her extended family, the staff and residents at the boarding home.

She leaves three sisters, Beatrice Bourque and Mariette Bourque both of Canada, and Irene Morin of Waterville; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Camille and Leatrice Poulin of Skowhegan; several nieces and nephews; and her personal caretaker, Ron Ouellette of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her parents; four brothers, Lionel, Jean-Paul, Camil and Jacques; and one sister, Gilberte Poulin.
