GREENE – The body discovered Saturday floating in Allen Pond has been positively identified by police as 51-year-old Stephen Nickerson of the Yarmouth area.
Kayakers and swimmers found the body around 8 a.m. Saturday.
Nickerson was believed to be visiting friends or relatives at a private camp on Allen Pond, which is located between routes 4 and 202.
According to the State Medical Examiner’s Office, the results from Sunday’s autopsy are still pending.
