MONMOUTH – Graduates are invited to attend the Monmouth Academy Alumni’s 104th luncheon and meeting on Saturday, Aug. 2, in the Monmouth Academy gym.

This year is the academy’s 200th anniversary. The alumni association officers are looking forward to representation from each class as far back as the mid-20s. There have been more than 10 alumni attending for the past several years, but this year the association is hoping there will be 200 to coincide with the academy’s anniversary.

The class of 1953, as the 50-year class, will be honored.

A social time will be observed from 11 a.m. to noon. Attendees will be able to pay their $3 dues and $7 luncheon fee at that time. Lunch will be served at noon, catered by the Cumston Public Library Association.

A business meeting, guest speakers, roll call of classes, memorial, raffle, bicentennial cake, souvenirs and tree-planting ceremony will be included in the program.
