FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – Noreen Ditata Jameyson, 56, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away Monday, July 7, at her home.

A native of Livermore Falls, she moved to Fernandina Beach in January of 2002 from Kennebunk, where she resided 23 years.

She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Portland and a graduate of Westbrook Junior College. Upon graduation she went to work in the purchasing department of the International Paper Co. in Jay.

Following that, she worked for Joseph Iriana, DDS in Kennebunk, as a receptionist/secretary for the next 10 years. She then went to work for UNUM-Provident Insurance Co. in Portland as a customer service representative.

She loved gardening, flowers, walking, reading, playing golf with the ladies on Tuesday at the Golf Club of North Hampton and above all, loved and cherished her family. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Fernandina Beach.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Gale W. Jameyson of Fernandina Beach; son, John N. (Sandra) Jameyson of Durham, N.C.; daughter, Lori Jameyson (Paul) Lyons of Biddeford; brother, Michael J. (Rita) Ditata of Jay; grandson, Nicholas James Lyons; stepgranddaughter, Hannah Marie Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Baker in l984.
