OTISFIELD – The selectmen have announced that the Community Hall on Route 121 is now available for rentals. The hall was recently undergoing some repairs.

Yard sale Saturday

NORWAY – Fare Share Market will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 12, in the town’s parking lot behind 447 Main St. as part of its 25th anniversary and Norway’s Summer Festival. Patrons are being encouraged to donate high quality cast off items before the sale. For more information, people can call 743-2423 or 388-2510. Previewing of sale items will be possible at 7:45 a.m.

OTISFIELD – The Ladies Circle of the East Otisfield Church will hold a summer sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 12, at the church on Raville Road off Route 121. There will be a white elephant table, and sandwiches and beverages will be sold.

PARIS – The Deering Memorial United Methodist Church has changed its Sunday services for July and August to 9 a.m. Church member Richard Box will deliver the message for Sunday, July 13.

Board times

NORWAY – The Norway Paris Solid Waste Inc. Board of Directors have changed its meeting time. Meetings will now be held at 7 p.m. the third Monday of each month beginning with July 21 and proceeding to Aug. 18, and Sept. 15.

Church supper

WATERFORD – The North Waterford Congregational Church will hold a public supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at the church. The menu will offer baked beans, American chop suey, casseroles, salads, brown bread, rolls, beverages and strawberry shortcake. It will be $6 for adults, and $3 for children under 12.

Soccer tryouts

OXFORD – The Oxford County Soccer Club will hold tryouts for the girls travel team for the 2003 fall season. The team will consist of girls entering the middle school this fall. Spots on the team are open to all girls living in Oxford County. Tryouts will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at the Gouin Complex in South Paris. Pee Wee golf

PARIS – The Paris Hill Country Club will again host the Maine Pee Wee Championship Golf Tournament for 2003. Registration is now being conducted for the Aug. 3 event. Children ages 12 and under are welcome to play. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to all age brackets. Proceeds will be given to local children’s charity. For more information, call 743-2371.
