AVON – State Police charged an Avon man on Sunday with domestic assault and furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol.

State Trooper Scott Dalton said he arrested David Lakin, 50, of Hare Road after Lakin allegedly assaulted a family member.

There were several people at residence the night before, and all had been drinking, Dalton said.

Dalton and State Trooper Peter Michaud interviewed several witnesses, Dalton said, and they learned that Lakin allegedly let at least three minors under age 21 drink alcohol on the property.

Lakin is scheduled to appear Thursday in Farmington District Court.
