WILTON – A 27-year-old Wilton woman was arrested last week after two minors revealed to their counselor they had been sexually abused by her last fall.
Carla Neil was arrested at her Wilton home and charged with felony sexual abuse of a minor, said arresting Deputy Heidi Gould of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
Earlier this year, Neil was arrested on a similar charge after she allegedly provided alcohol to a minor and then had unlawful sexual contact with him. That case has not yet gone to court.
According to Gould, the two children in the newest case, who are between the ages of 7 and 12, had sexual contact with Neil multiple times.
The information was told to their counselor, who then told the Department of Human Services. The complaint was passed on to the Franklin County District Attorney’s Office and then handed over to Gould.
Neil was held at the Franklin County Detention Center until she was released by the court on $2,000 unsecured bail with the stipulation that she would have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18 and no contact with the victims.
Gould said she is unsure if additional charges will be filed against Neil, but that each Class C criminal count of sexual abuse of a minor carries up to five years in prison.
