1909 – 2003

WINTHROP – Marie A. Morin, 94, of Morton Street, died Wednesday, July 23, at her home.

She was born in St. Claire, Canada on March 6, 1909, the daughter of Jules and Celanire (Labonte) Audet.

She has resided in Winthrop since the early 1930s and was employed as a weaver for Carleton Woolen Mill.

She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Winthrop and the Women’s Council. She also belonged to the Ladies of Ste. Anne Society.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Morin of Winthrop; a sister, Rose Poulin of Maryland; a grandson, Robert Morin of Gardiner; a special niece, Agnes Letourneau of Winthrop; a sister-in-law, Henrietta Audet of Livermore Falls; a goddaughter, Denise Rodzen and family of Livermore Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Philibert Morin; a son, Roger Morin; her brothers, Leo, Jules and Eugene Audet; and sisters, Louise Cowan and Bertha Drapeau.
