ROCKLAND – Lincoln Street Center and the Farnsworth Museum are collaborating to present video-animation camps using the Farnsworth summer exhibitions as inspiration.

Students ages 10 to 12 are invited to attend two weeklong art camps where they will create a short animated video. Instructor Deb Vendetti will guide students as they develop a story, create characters, design and construct sets and perform a final shoot for screening.

A small group size allows for creative interaction among students as well as greater involvement with the material. Through the combined resources of the Lincoln Street Center for Arts and Education and the museum, students will spend part of their time at each facility.

Video/Animation Arts I will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.Monday through Friday, Aug. 11 to 15. Video/Animation Arts II will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 18 to 22. Cost for each session is $140 for members and Rockland residents and $150 for non-members. Scholarships are available.

To register or for more information, call the museum at 596-0949 or 596-6457, extension 143.
