1923 – 2003
SALINA, Kan. – Everett S. Sylvester, 79, of Salina, Kan., died Aug. 5, in Kansas.
Born in Pownal, Oct. 17, 1923, he served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 21 years. He worked as a postal clerk at the Salina Post Office.
He was a member of the University United Methodist Church in Salina, Kan., was a 50-year member of Acacia Masonic Lodge in Durham and Scottish Rite and ISIS Shrine Temple in Salina, Kan.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalie J. Sylvester of Salina, Kan.; three sons, James Sylvester of McLean, Va., Alan Sylvester of Tulsa, Okla., and Randall Sylvester of Ponca City, Okla.; six grandchildren; and many special cousins and friends in the great state of Maine.
