1948 – 2003

Lewiston -Warren L. Brocker, 55, of Mechanic Falls, died Friday, Aug. 8, after a long and courageous fight with cancer at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born March 31, 1948, in Jackson Heights, N.Y. He was the son of Warren Fredrick and Sylvia Laine Brocker. He graduated from H. Frank Carey High School in Franklin Square, N.Y., where he was the captain of the tennis team. He also ran track in highschool, as well as in college when attending Nassau Community College in New York.

He graduated from Grand Canyon College in Phoenix, Ariz., with a degree in enviromental science.

He married Carol Gallo on Dec. 13, 1974. They resided in Mechanic Falls for the past 23 years. He and his brother owned and operated American Muffler Shop in Auburn for many years.

He loved nature and the rural lifestyle that living in Maine had to offer.

He is survived by Carol, his loving wife of 28 years; four children, Lorraine, Dana, Jeffrey, and Ashley Brocker; his mother, Sylvia Brocker; a sister, Melanie Brocker; two brothers, Andrew and Russell Brocker; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Warren F. Brocker.
