DENMARK – Maine Warden Service officers were searching Tuesday night for a 67-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease who failed to return from an afternoon walk.

Harry Palmer was last seen between 2:30 and 3 p.m. when he left 130 Long Pond Road, Maine State Police dispatcher Eric Kramarz said.

“His memory’s bad. He may ask someone for a ride, but he may not know where he needs to go,” he said. “He’s known to take long walks.”

Palmer is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall, 180 pounds with green eyes and brown-to-gray hair. He is wearing a maroon shirt, tan pants and white sneakers, Kramarz said.

Members of the Maine Warden Service were called to search for Palmer, and area police agencies were notified to be on the lookout for him.

Anyone with information is asked to call Maine State Police Troop B Barracks in Gray at 1-800-482-0730.
