1913 – 2003

LEWISTON – Edith M. Bousquet, 89, of 10 Seville Place, Lewiston, died Saturday, Aug. 16, at Central Maine Medical Center. Born in Auburn on Nov. 23, 1913, she was the daughter of Joseph and Zaimeree Blanchette Levesque. Educated in local schools, she was married to Thomas St. Laurent, who passed away in 1964. In 1970 she was married to her second husband, Emile J. Bousquet, who died on Nov. 16, 1991.

She was employed for many years at Knapp Shoe, retiring in 1976. A member of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish, she also belonged to the Lady of St. Anne’s and the Ladies of Charity.

Survivors include two brothers, Wilfred Levesque of Auburn and Leo Levesque of Lewiston, and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece and nephew Sharon Lessard and Albert Audette, who took care of her in her later years. She was predeceased by two brothers, Lucien and Renee Levesque and two sisters, Juliette Pratt and Liane Audette.
