1918 – 2003

FARMINGTON – Genevieve B. Collins, 84, of Essex Street, Portland died Sunday, Aug. 17, at Sandy River Nursing Home after a long illness.

She was born Aug. 26, 1918, in Waldoboro the daughter of Milton and Hattie Rines Creamer where she attended schools graduating from Waldboro High School and later graduated from Bliss Business College in Lewiston.

Mrs. Collins worked at the South Portland Shipyard during World War II. She enjoyed working in her rose garden, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She leaves two sons, Gary W. Collins of Mexico, Randy C. Collins of New Vineyard; a sister, Dorothy Harrington of So. Hamilton, Mass.; two brothers, Thomas Creamer of Yarmouth, Russell Creamer of Waldoboro; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was predeceased by her husband, William S. Collins in 1991; and her sister, Laura Cunningham.
