1950 – 2003

NORRIDGEWOCK – Linda Rita Miller, 52, wife of Bruce W. Miller was born one of nine children to Albert and Florianne Deschene of Lisbon on Dec. 12, 1950. After a long and courageous battle with cancer went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Aug. 17.

She was a graduate of Lisbon High School in 1970. She was married to Winston E. Card, Dec. 5, 1969, who passed away in 1993. In 1997, she married Bruce W. Miller and resided in Norridgewock.

She was employed by J.C. Penney and Burger King before becoming ill.

She loved to spend time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Especially enjoyed spending quality time with her granddaughter, Courtney Lynn Card. She enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, four-wheeling and family cookouts.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Bruce; her son, Jeffrey Card of Lewiston; daughter, Carol Card of Sabattus; her granddaughter, Courtney Card of Sabattus; her parents, Albert and Florianne Deschene of Lisbon; five brothers, Rene Deschene and wife Sue of Monmouth, Gerald Deschene and wife Jane of Thorndike, Roland Deschene of Poland, Donald Deschene and wife Donna of Lewiston, Paul Deschene and wife Tonia of Lewiston; three sisters, Janet and husband Larry Enos of Turner, Marian Deschene of Levant, Doris and husband Ivan Beaulieu of Smithfield; two stepdaughters, Tyra Vanadestine and husband Chris to Hampton, Va., and Shannon Larsen of Palm Harbor, Fla.; stepgrandchildren, Zachary Pooler, Kaitlyn and Kayla Vanadestine, Nicole and Mitchell Larsen; mother-in-law, Christine Miller of Madison along with a host of relatives and friends.
